The Leipzig Gospel Choir was founded in autumn 2009. Its goal is to present and preach the gospel through energetic, moving and authentic musical performances in the American tradition. LGC is a group of friendly and motivated singers who wish to praise the Lord through song and to spread the gospel message of faith, hope and love in the city of Leipzig and beyond.

Rehearsals take place every Wednesday evening from 7:00pm-9:00pm in the Paul-Gerhardt-Kirche (Selneckerstraße 5) and are held in English. Regular attendance at weekly rehearsals and participation in LGC performances are expected from all members. Singers with a basic knowledge of English who are interested in developing their individual musicality as well as helping LGC reach its goal of spreading the gospel are more than welcome to join us.

LGC is led by the singer and pianist MaryBeth Gremour and is accompanied by Kerstin Braun on percussion, Lukas Döring on piano and Frank Stramm on electric bass.
